J&K Police organises awareness programmes on New Criminal Laws in Handwara

Continuing its outreach and awareness initiatives, J&K Police organised awareness programmes on the New Criminal Laws at various educational institutions across the district, including Government High School Madian Chogal, Sunrise Public School Handwara, Govt Secondary School Supernaghama Kralgund, Higher Secondary School Behnipora Zachaldara, and Khatija tul kubra Darul Uloom Langate.

Students and staff members participated in these programmes, where Police officers explained the key features and provisions of the newly introduced criminal laws and sensitized the participants about their significance in ensuring justice, safeguarding rights, and strengthening the legal system. These sessions were interactive, with students and staff showing keen interest and raising queries which were addressed by the Police officials.

J&K Police reaffirmed its commitment to organising such awareness programmes in educational institutions to keep the youth informed, legally aware, and engaged in constructive community-police cooperation.(JKNS)
