J&K Police Organises Quiz Competitions in Awantipora, Pulwama & Ganderbal

As part of the ongoing year-long programme to honour the life and contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, J&K Police organised quiz competitions in Tral, Pulwama & Ganderbal.

In Awantipora, J&K Police organised a quiz competition at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Tral. The quiz competition aimed to raise awareness among students about Patel’s role in India’s freedom movement, his leadership in integrating more than 560 princely states into the Indian Union, and his immense contribution to national unity and integrity. Students participated with great enthusiasm.  Police officers from Sub-Division Tral, along with school staff and students, were present during the event.

In Pulwama, J&K Police organised an educational quiz competition at Central High School Pulwama. The programme was conducted with the objective of familiarising students with the life, leadership and historic contributions of Sardar Patel, particularly his decisive role in the integration of princely states and strengthening the unity of the nation. Students participated with great enthusiasm and displayed impressive awareness and understanding of the national leader’s legacy. Addressing the gathering, officers of J&K Police emphasised the importance of unity, discipline and integrity in today’s society.

During the event, the top three performers in the quiz competition were felicitated with trophies and certificates in recognition of their merit and dedication.

In Ganderbal, J&K Police organized an engaging Quiz Competition at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Kangan to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who displayed remarkable knowledge, confidence, and competitive spirit. The quiz aimed to instill values of national unity, integrity, leadership, and civic responsibility, ideals that Sardar Patel stood for throughout his life. The programme was graced by the presence of the SDPO Kangan Shri Rajeev Raina-JKPS, the Principal of the institution, SHO Kangan, teaching staff, and senior officers of Ganderbal Police, who applauded the student’s zeal and emphasized the importance of youth engagement in nation-building activities.  The position holders were felicitated with mementos and appreciation certificates in recognition of their outstanding performance, while all participants were encouraged for their active involvement. As part of the educational initiative, the students also visited the Tehsil Public Library Kangan, where they explored the rich repository of books and learning resources, fostering a spirit of reading, research, and intellectual curiosity.

J&K Police reaffirmed its commitment to continue such educational and community-oriented initiatives throughout the year-long programme to spread awareness about the monumental role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in strengthening the nation.(JKNS)
