J&K Police recovers, reunites 743 missing persons with families, reveals official data

Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to public service Jammu and Kashmir Police have successfully traced and reunited 743 missing persons with their families across District Jammu in 2024.

As per the official comminique issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, stated that Police has brought relief to hundreds of families, reaffirming its dedication to maintaining law and order.

Jammu Police leveraged technological tools, including CCTV surveillance, digital tracking, and intelligence-based investigations, to swiftly locate missing individuals. Extensive field searches, close coordination with other law enforcement agencies, and active public participation played a crucial role in ensuring the safe return of 743 persons reported missing, it read.

“Public awareness and cooperation have been key factors in these recoveries. Jammu Police has consistently urged citizens to report missing cases immediately, emphasizing the importance of timely information in accelerating the search process. The department remains committed to strengthening ties with the public to ensure faster resolutions in such cases,” it read.

It further said that Jammu Police continues its mission to create a safe and secure environment for all residents.

“”With a firm resolve to protect and serve, the force remains vigilant, proactive, and dedicated to ensuring that every missing person is brought back to their loved ones,” read the official version.
