J&K: Shopkeeper stabbed to death in Ganderbal

A shopkeeper was stabbed to death by an unidentified person in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday.

The incident took place at Perpora Kachan when an unidentified person stabbed a shopkeeper identified as Fayaz Ahmad Dar a resident of perpora, with a
sharp-edged weapon.

The 31-year-old Dar suffered grievous injuries and was shifted to Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura for treatment where doctors declared him dead, police said.

After committing the crime the assailant fled from the spot. “A massive manhunt has been launched to arrest the accused”, Police said.

As soon as the news of the killing of the shopkeeper spread in the area local people and relatives came out on the streets and demanded immediate arrest of the culprit.
