J&K: Suspected Pak drones spotted on LoC, Army opens fire in Rajouri

Indian Army troops on Tuesday evening opened fire after multiple suspected Pakistani drones were spotted close to the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.


Credible sources here said that some drones were sighted along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.


“Indian Army executed counter UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) measures,” they said.


Earlier, on Sunday and Monday, movement of suspected drones in several forward areas along the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) was also spotted in Samba, Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir.


“After hovering over Indian territory for a few minutes, all the flying objects that came from the Pakistan side, returned,” they said.


However, the security forces have launched a massive search operation following the drone activity in the forward areas of the border districts.
