KEA, Separatists Call for Shutdown

Srinagar: The Kashmir Economic Alliance today supported the strike call given Separatists and asked people to observe the complete shutdown to protest against the killing of Zahid Rasool.

Zahid died today in Safder Gunj hospital Delhi after right wing activist set him on fire last week in Udhampur.

The Chairman KEA, Showkat Chowdary while terming the killing as communal murder demanded strict action against the acvcused persons who belong to RSS.

 “Government should book those who attacked Zahid under murder charges and also unveil the RSS handlers who instigate culprits to attack Kashmir- bound trucks,” Chowdhary said adding that state government has failed to safeguard the interests of Kashmiris.

“This killing is a blot on state government which has failed to tame extremist elements in Jammu,” he said adding that these events are repercussions of unholy alliance between PDP and BJP. Meanwhile, the separatists including Huriyat chairman Syed Ali Geelani, JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik, Nayeem Khan, Shabir Ahmad Shah also asked people to observe shutdown on Monday against the killing.
