Srinagar, May 28 (UNI) J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday met the family members of Special Police Officer Mudasir Ahmad who was killed in a recent gun battle in Baramulla district.
The Lt Governor met the family members of the slain cop at their residence in Uri which is close to the Line of Control (LoC). Sinha also paid tributes to the late officer.
Expressing his heartfelt condolences to the family members, the Lt Governor said the nation is blessed to have such sons of the soil like Mudasir, an official spokesman said.
“The supreme sacrifice of the braveheart will be eternally remembered,” he added.
The Lt Gov also assured the family members of all possible support from the government.
Mudasir, a member of an elite police unit of J&K Police, was killed on May 25, at Najibhat Kreeri that also left three suspected Pakistani militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) dead.
Few days before Mudasir’s death, J&K DGP Dilbag Singh had visited Baramulla and felicitated him for good work by him and his team in busting terror module involved in a recent grenade attack on a wine shop in Baramulla.
