A man was attacked by unknown individuals with sharp-edged weapons at Slathia Chowk in Udhampur on Wednesday, prompting swift police action.
Officials told the news agency JKNS that a man was attacked by some unknown individuals with sharp-edged weapons in Udhampur, prompting swift action from the police.
They said the victim, identified as Sourav Rathore, son of Maan Singh and a resident of Omala, Udhampur, was assaulted by the attackers.
Moreover, Udhampur Police registered FIR No. 12/2025 under Sections 109/BNS (attempt to murder) and 4/25 of the Arms Act. The police immediately arrested one accused, identified as Mohd Arif, son of Abdul Qayoom, a resident of Chakkar.
“The search for the remaining accused is ongoing, and officials assured that they will be apprehended soon,” they said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.—(JKNS).
