The Bandipora district administration, in collaboration with the Indian Army, today organised a special medical camp exclusively for women at Aloosa village, officials said.
The initiative was led by medical professionals from the Wullar Battalion, reaffirming the Army’s commitment to women’s welfare under the national vision of Nari Shakti.
Army said the outreach programme focused on empowering women through accessible healthcare services while further strengthening the relationship between the Army and the local population.
A similar medical camp was held a few days ago at Kaitsan, benefiting nearly 100 women and children.
Today’s event witnessed an impressive participation, with around 300 women receiving free medical check-ups, consultations, and health awareness sessions. Local residents expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for consistently organising such beneficial programmes.
Officials said that similar initiatives will continue to be conducted in the future to ensure accessible healthcare and promote the holistic well-being of women across the region.
