Authorities have issued an avalanche warning with a medium danger level for areas above 2,300 meters in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal and Kupwara districts over the next 24 hours.
The warning comes amid the recent wet weather conditions that have heightened the risk of avalanches in higher altitudes.
The authorities have asked people residing in these areas have been advised to exercise caution, avoid venturing into avalanche-prone areas, and evacuate unprotected settlements located near avalanche paths.
