MeT predicts another mild wet spell in Kashmir from Monday

 Amid forecast of another mild wet spell from Monday, the night temperature continued to hover below sub-zero level in most places in Kashmir on Saturday.


According to the Meteorological Centre in Srinagar, there is no significant weather activity in Jammu and Kashmir till Sunday.


It said that from March 11-12, there is a possibility of light rain or snow at a few places in Kashmir.
For the next two days until March 14, the MeT predicted light rain or snow in fairly widespread places.
The weather is expected to be dry between March 15 to 18.


The resort of Sonamarg in the Ganderbal district of central Kashmir was the coldest, at minus 7 degrees Celsius.


The summer capital of Srinagar had minus 0.2, Gulmarg minus 6, and Pahalgam minus 3.5 as the minimum temperature.


Qazigund, Baramulla, Bandipora, Kulgam, and Ganderbal weather stations recorded above sub-zero temperatures.


MeT said Jammu city had 10.4, Katra 9.8, Bhaderwah 2, and Banihal 5.8 as the minimum temperatures during the intervening nights of Friday and Saturday.
