Minor Girl Mauled To Death, 7th Such Incident In Mahore In Last Four Months

Reasi: A 10-year-old girl was mauled to death by a leopard in Mahore area of Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.

Reports reaching GNS said that the leopard attacked the minor Ruksana Banoo (10) daughter of Abdul Gani of Nuram, Mahore today late in the afternoon.

The reports said that the leopard dragged the minor girl outside her home (dhoke) and the body was later recovered by the locals and police under bad conditions.

Station House Officer (SHO) Mahore Mohd Anzar Mir also confirmed the incident to GNS.

The locals said that wildlife authorities are unmoved despite the fact that seven innocent lives have been lost in Mahore Tehsil in similar incidents in the last four months. (GNS)
