Srinagar: Chairman Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) Ghulam Hassan Mir has criticized the government for making life of people in the Valley before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit here.

“Though the Prime minister’s visit to the valley is good, yet the way the state government is acting form the last week does not augur well for democracy. Democratic set up should be open to all,” Mir told KNS.

He said that police stations and jails in Kashmir have been filled with youth by the government which does not suit a democratic country and state.

“People wanted to hear what Prime Minister had to say about their welfare. But state government has made their lives miserable from the past week,” he said. (KNS)
