“India is using every tactic to instill fear among the common masses and subjugating them usurping all their rights”.

He said India should have no doubt that Kashmir is a dispute of political nature where the stakes are involved of more than one crore people who consistently live under fear and repression since last sixty years of political turmoil.

He accused India of adopting military approach to crush the ‘genuine’ demand of people.

“But India needs to understand that people's movements for gaining their fundamental rights can never be suppressed by military might and use of force and world history and contemporary times are witness to it,” said the Mirwaiz.

He asked India to initiate demilitarization and revoke draconian laws including PSA, AFSPA and DAA.

In a statement, Mirwaiz urged International community that Kashmir is not only the highest battle zone in world between two nuclear powers but also highly militarized zone.

He demanded the intervention of International community to stress India for the permanent resolution of the world’s longest political dispute.
