Modi Mentions Baig in His Address

Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the name of senior Peoples Democratic Party leader and MP Muzaffar Hussain Baig in his speech when he addressed the chief minister and other ministers who were present in the podium from which Modi addressed the rally.

Modi, perhaps, was not aware that Baig was staying away from the much-hyped rally as the latter had told KNS that he was not invited.

Mentioning Baig’s name brought grim expression on the faces of PDP ministers and other present at the stage.

“I have not received any invitation from anybody yet for the Prime Minister’s rally,” Baig had told KNS on Friday evening.

“I will not attend the rally without being invited,” he had said.

Baig and Kara, both PDP MPs, stayed away from the rally.

“I have not received any formal invitation. I would not attend the rally. Had I received invitation I would still not have attended it” Karra had told KNS.” (KNS)
