Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet tomorrow the newly elected Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer.

The UK Prime Minister arrived in India early today morning for a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and exploring new avenues of cooperation, particularly in trade and investment.

This marks Prime Minister Starmer’s first official visit to India since assuming office. During their meeting tomorrow in Mumbai, the two leaders are expected to deliberate on regional and global issues of mutual concern.

They are also expected to review the progress of the India, UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with a focus on ongoing initiatives in trade and investment, said a statement here from the Prime Minister office (PMO).

They will also engage with key stakeholders from the business and industrial sectors to explore opportunities emerging from the proposed India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

Same day tomorrow, both the Prime Ministers will address the sixth edition of the Global FinTech Fest (GFF) 2025, to be held at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai. This year’s theme, ‘Empowering Finance for a Better World’, places special emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI), innovation, and financial inclusion, said the statement.

The event will witness the presence of around 7,500 companies, 800 speakers, 400 exhibitors, and several key international regulatory bodies, including the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Deutsche Bundesbank (Germany), Banque de France, and the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).
