Moose Wala Murder Case: 2 shooters gunned down in police encounter

Amritsar (UNI): Two gangsters, who were allegedly involved in the killing of Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala, were killed in the police encounter in Punjab’s Amritsar on Wednesday.

Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said the encounter broke out between the Anti-Gangster Task Force of Punjab Police and the gangsters in Bhakna village in Amritsar. The DGP added that the gunfight lasted for six hours, in which two gangsters were killed.

An AK-47 rifle and a pistol have been recovered from the encounter site.

The deceased have been identified as Jagroop Singh Roopa and Manpreet Singh alias Mannu Kusa, belonging to Jaggu Bhaganpuria gang.

Bhaganpuria had provided these shooters to Lawrence Bishnoi to kill Moose Wala.

Police received information that two gangsters allegedly involved in the murder of the singer were hiding in Bhakna village of Amritsar.

Police reached the spot and cordoned off the area. Subsequently, the encounter broke out between the police and the gangsters.

Moose Wala was killed on May 29 near his village Musa in Punjab’s Mansa district.
