Nana Patekar’s NGO provides rehabilitation aid to families in Rajouri and Poonch

Veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar’s NGO, Nirmala Gajanan Foundation, on Monday provided financial assistance to families affected by cross-border shelling during Operation Sindoor in Rajouri and Poonch.

At the event, Patekar met residents who have long endured hardships due to artillery fire from Pakistan on the Line of Control. Speaking to the media, as per news agency KINS he said, “The pain of families who lost their loved ones—especially children—must not be forgotten.”

Patekar praised fellow artists like Johnny Lever and Aamir Khan for their quiet social contributions.

Highlighting education as a vital tool for progress, Patekar stressed, “Children in these border areas must get opportunities to study, because only then will they grow up to contribute to the nation.”

The rehabilitation initiative, aimed at supporting those most affected during Operation Sindoor, is being implemented with the active support of the Indian Army and local civil administration.(KINS)
