Poonch: Provincial Youth National Conference President Ajaz Jan on Monday described the past over nine months’ performance of the PDP-BJP Government as dismal failure, saying the coalition has done nothing except generating hype and dividing the people on religious and regional lines.

Carrying forward the party membership drive in Poonch, the Provincial Youth National Conference President said that disenchantment among people about the new dispensation is at its peak, as development process initiated by the previous Omar Abdullah led government has come to grinding halt and the problems confronted to them are accumulating with each passing day.

Jan said the people were now realizing the futility of voting the duo to power adding that: “Due to mis-governance and lack of direction, the administration at ground level is also unable to respond to the needs of the people”. He said the promises of deliverance by the Mufti Sayeed led government have proven hoax, which is reflected by the fact that the rain and flood-hit people are still craving for help. The sufferings of the border dwellers have increased manifold and the administration is seen nowhere to look to their w0es, he added.

Referring to National Conference membership drive, the Provincial Youth President said that enthusiasm among the people, especially youngsters rekindles the hope of better tomorrow for the State. He said National Conference alone can ensure the single entity of the three distinct regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and steering the state to new pinnacles of progress and development.

Jan urged the people to maintain unity and foil the sinister agenda of those who want to fragment the society in bits and pieces. He blamed the PDP for being facilitator to enforce RSS agenda across the state. “We have to remain cautions against elements inimical to inclusiveness of the State and maintain our glorious ethos at all costs”, he added.
