Srinagar: With the BJP wresting control of the Ladakh Hill development Council for the first time in 20 years, BJP’s two senior leaders, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and Member parliament Jugal Kishore Saturday expressed their gratitude to the people of the Leh region for reposing their faith in BJP.

“Our party is delighted at the results of Ladakh Hill Council Polls. We are thankful to the people of Leh for placing their faith in BJP,” Nirmal Singh told KNS over phone.

He said that people of Leh want development so they elected BJP candidates. “For us it is a landslide victory. It is the established fact that Congress which had ruled the Council three out of four times failed miserably in Ladakh region, so people here preferred candidates of our party as they want development of the area on the modern lines as promised by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi,” he said.

Meanwhile BJP’s State Chief and Member Parliament Jugal Kishore said that the people of Leh have taught a lesson to the NC-Congress for their anti people policies.

“Credit for BJP’s victory goes to the people and party cadre. The people of this region have reposed faith in BJP and have unambiguously rejected National Conference-Congress. I can say that this victory is Narendra Modi’s victory,” Kishore told KNS over phone

He said that it is the outcome of the policies of the BJP towards the people. “I can tell you with confidence that BJP is the favorite party for the people of Jammu Kashmir and Ladkah,”

He said that the people here have now understood that it is only BJP which can fulfill their problems.

He claimed that BJP will win all the seats of forthcoming Municipal polls of Jammu and Kashmir. “I am sure that in the upcoming Municipal elections, BJP will win with full majority.

He said that in spite of making all efforts to lure the voters by the Congress and NC leaders, Leh people preferred to give BJP unprecedented win. “The voters of the leh have voted for progress security and safety by rejecting the divisive politics and campaign of the Congress and NC,” Kishoor said and added that the BJP victory is a vindication of party’s agenda and stand on Jammu and Kashmir.
