No govt can provide govt job to every youth: Jitendra Singh

Srinagar, April 25 (UNI) Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Monday said that unemployment was not only in Kashmir, but all over in India and no government was able to provide government jobs to every youth.

The responsible government of Narendra Modi is developing such avenues by which a youth can earn its livelihood himself, said Singh, while talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of a meeting held at Baramulla in north Kashmir.

He said the AROMA mission was one of such avenues, by which the youth of the valley could earn their livelihood and spend their life happily.

He said the purple revolution of India was started from Kashmir valley’s Gulmarg area, where Lavender crops opened up a new avenue that can fetch lakhs of rupees.

“Unfortunately, the target of getting a government job is not going away from our minds,” he said and added that similarly by way of technology, the Prime Minister has taken several initiatives for the youth to earn their livelihood.

The Union Minister said unfortunately for the past many years, the situation was not allowing to start these programmes but gradually, these will move forward.

He said for the past 30 years, the generation who could not make their future in the way they would have been, but to fill that gap we have to move all together forward.

“I feel that only the Narendra Modi Government can lead us to a bright future with honesty, conviction, carriage and resolution”, he said.

He said a good number of women in Kashmir valley have adopted female agriculture entrepreneurship like Agri startup.

“We have taken up the matter with the concerned departments that their products would be flown to other states with minimum charges for their sale outside,” he said.

“I agree with Prime Minister Narendra Modis words that what your parents, grandparents have suffered in the past, the youth of Kashmir would not suffer like that,” he added.
