Jammu: One person has died and 29 civilians have been injured in a grenade blast at bus stand Jammu on Thursday afternoon.
Hospital authorities said that they have received over 29 people who have suffered injuries in the blast and are undergoing treatment.
However, talking to GNS, Inspector General of Police Jammu Division M K Sinha said that some suspected persons lobbed a grenade on bus stand Jammu.
“In the explosion, 18 civilians reported so far sustained splinter injuries and were evacuated to hospital treatment,” IGP said.
Sources said that among the injured the condition of five persons is stated to be serious.
They said that soon after the blast a large contingent of government forces reached to the spot and launched a hunt to nab the attackers. Police posts have also been erected and the frisking of vehicles also take place to nab the culprits. (GNS)
