One person was killed and 21suffered injuries when a bus on Thursday hit the pillar of a flyover in Bari Brahmana area of Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police said an overspeeding bus on way from Jammu towards Kathua on Thursday morning reportedly hit a motorcyclist following which the driver lost control and hit the pillar in the Bari Brahmana area.
Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the nearby hospital and AIIMS Jammu. As per reports, one of the injured was declared brought dead by doctors. “One person has died in the accident and 21 others sustained injuries,” said police.
The driver managed to escape from the spot. Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
