Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday lauded Patanjali for its contribution to traditional and modern medicine alongside ancient Yoga, while he also inaugurated the Patanjali Emergency & Critical Care Hospital in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
Shah said that the 250-bed hospital, equipped with emergency services, a trauma care unit, Intensive Care Unit, and a cardiology unit, will provide the people with rapid, accessible, and world-class healthcare facilities in case of medical emergencies.
Shah inspected the emergency and the critical care hospital, and appreciated this initiative based on integrated system of medicine. The new hospital of Patanjali with medical emergency services is equipped with facilities to conduct complicated surgeries like brain, heart, spine, and others.
He said that apart from the modern medical emergency services, people will be able to benefit from traditional treatment methods such as Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Panchkarma, and Acupressure.
The Home Minister also paid a visit to the Patanjali Gurukul where he interacted with the teachers and students, adding that the place is inspiring young minds with Indian value-based education, while also creating awareness about healthy lifestyle and physical fitness.
Shah said that his heart fills with joy upon witnessing the new generation learning scriptures, modern science, yoga, and ‘pranayama’ in a peaceful and modern environment under able guidance.
During his stay at the Patanjali Yog Peeth complex on Wednesday, Shah held discussions with Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna over medical treatments, education, Sanatan way of life and knowledge of the sages, and taking it to global a platform.
Besides Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, MP Trivendra Singh Rawat and education minister Dhan Singh Rawat were also present on the occasion.
HM’s visit infused the Patanjali family with pride, inspiration, and energy, while Swami Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishna, along with saints, devotees, disciples, and students from Patanjali Gurukulam and Acharyakulam, warmly welcomed and honored the home minister.
