Srinagar: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Spokesman, Dr. Mehboob Beg, today condemned the incident in which a youth, Javed Sofi, was hit by a stone, near Charsoo, Awantipora, in Pulwama district.
In a statement to KNS, Dr. Beg said Javed, a tanker driver, is the only bread-earner of his family and was battling for his life at SKIMS Soura, where he has been operated upon for two-and-a-half hours. His condition continues to be a cause of concern, he added.
Demanding that the investigation in the case should be fast-tracked and those responsible for this criminal act should be immediately arrested and brought to justice, Dr. Beg also urged the government to extend best possible medical treatment to the injured Javed. (KNS)
