PM likely to attend Anna Varsity Convocation on July 29

Chennai (UNI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to
participate in the Convocation of the Tamil Nadu Government-owned
Anna University on July 29.

Varsity sources said an invitation or an request has been made to the
PMO office requesting him to participate in the convocation when he
visits Chennai for the inauguration for the Chess Olympiad on July 28.
Varsity sources said a request has been said to the PMO office and an
official confirmation is awaited.

”We are hopeful that our Prime Minister will deliver the convocation
address on that day”, sources said.

In the convocation, Varsity Chancellor and Governor R.N.Ravi, Chief
Minister M.K.Stalin, Higher Education Minister K.Ponmudy, who skipped
the latest convocation in Madurai Kamaraj University allegedly protesting
against the unilateral attitude of the Governor, and other officials are likely
to participate.
