Srinagar: Srinagar police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 560 bottles of Codeine Phosphate, said a police official. 

On a specific information, Police party Batmaloo headed by SHO Aftab Ahmad  arrested two drug peddlers Riyaz Gojri son of  Ghulam Qadir resident of Sakidafar Safakadal and Afaq Shah son of Abdul Majeed resident of Alie Kadal Srinagar in front of  New Court Complex Moominabad,  Batmaloo area of Srinagar and recovered the drugs from their possession. 

“We recovered 560 bottles of Codeine Phosphate from their possession,” he said. 

He said case has been registered under FIR No. 133/15 under section 8/22 NDPS  against the duo and investigation has been taken up.
