In its ongoing effort to combat drug trafficking, the police in Srinagar have arrested two drug peddlers and seized a significant quantity of contraband substances.
A team from PS Chanapora established a checkpoint at Chanapora and intercepted a Tempo Traveller (JK02AF-1776) carrying two individuals. They were identified as:
Umer Manzoor Rather, also known as “Manadev,” a resident of Natipora.
Yawer Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Baghat Kanipora.
A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of a substantial quantity of contraband substances.
A case under FIR No. 03/2025 has been registered at PS Chanapora under the NDPS Act, and investigations are underway.
