In its continuing efforts to combat the menace of drugs, Police in Anantnag have arrested a drug peddler and recovered a significant quantity of contraband from his possession.
A Police team from PS Srigufwara, at a checkpoint established at Srihama Hospital Crossing, apprehended a drug peddler identified as Altaf Ahmad Dar @Ali Commando son of Asadullah Dar resident of Sirhama and recovered 1.2 Kg of Cannabis Powder from his possession.
A case vide FIR No. 14/2025 has been registered at PS Srigufwara under relevant sections and investigation has been initiated.
J&K Police remains committed to eliminating drug peddling and ensuring a safer environment for the community. Citizens are urged to report any drug-related activities in their neighbourhood to help curb this growing menace.(JKNS)
