Police conduct mock drill at Bijbehara Railway Station

Police in Anantnag on Saturday carried out a comprehensive mock drill at Bijbehara Railway Station to assess and enhance the preparedness and coordination of security agencies in handling emergency situations.

The exercise was jointly conducted by J&K Police, Government Railway Police, Railway Protection Force, CRPF (90 Bn) and the Army’s 3 RR. Multiple emergency scenarios were simulated to test Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and to ensure swift, coordinated responses during real-time incidents.

Officials said all participating teams demonstrated high levels of professionalism, operational readiness, and inter-agency synergy. The drill concluded successfully, meeting its intended objectives.

Police said such mock exercises are an essential component of security planning as they help refine response mechanisms, bolster inter-agency cooperation, and strengthen overall security infrastructure.

J&K Police and GRP reiterated their commitment to ensuring passenger safety and securing critical railway installations.(KINS)
