Police on Unending Arrest Spree of Pro-Freedom People, says Geelani

Srinagar: While expressing his concern and anguish over the midnight raids, unending arrest spree and issuing threat warnings to the pro-freedom people, Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani strongly condemned the “state terrorism of the puppet government”.

In a statement issued to KNS,  Geelani said the police had launched an unending crackdown on the pro-freedom people and had made further arrests of hundreds of Hurriyat leaders and activists including Gh. Nabi Sumji, Abdul Ahad Para, Mohammad Shafi Lone, Bashir Ahmad Andrabi Pulwama, Raja Mehraj-ud-din, Mushtaq Ahmad Dharmuna, Mohammad Shafi and Manzoor Ahmad Kupwara while as hundreds of houses of the common people and youths have also been raided.

In a statement to KNS, Syed Ali Geelani strongly condemned the midnight raids and arresting of father in place of son at many places and termed this approach of the state administration as worst kind of state terrorism.

Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani said that the use of brutal force will achieve nothing for the government nor will we surrender our just and democratic demands in any way. (KNS)
