In a decisive action against the drug menace, Police in Shopian have recovered contraband substances from the residential house of Bilal Ahmad Sheikh son of Mohd Shaban Sheikh resident of Urpora Nagbal, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Zainapora.
Acting on reliable information, a police party from Police Station Zainapora accompanied by the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, raided the location. During search, 3.842 Kgs of charas was recovered.
A case vide FIR No. 62/2025 has been registered at Police Station Zainapora under relevant sections of law. Further investigation is in progress to trace the forward and backward linkages of the accused.
