Police seize JKDFP posters, banned literature in Pulwama raid

J&K Police on Saturday recovered incriminating material, including alleged posters of the banned Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) and prohibited literature, during a search operation at a shop in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Police said acting on a search warrant issued by the National Investigation Agency Court Pulwama in 2024 FIR under section 10, 13 of the UAP Act, they carried out a search at the shop belonging to Mohamed Amir Rather, resident of Litter Pulwama.

“The search operation was conducted in the presence of a Magistrate and independent witnesses to ensure complete transparency and due process. During the search, police recovered incriminating material including JKDFP posters and banned literature books from the premises of the accused,” police said.

“All seized items have been taken into custody for detailed scrutiny. Further investigation is in progress to ascertain the broader dimensions of the case and verify any additional connections linked to the seized material,” they added.
