Ghazipur (UP), April 27 (UNI) Tightening noose around gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, a property belonging to him was attached by the Ghazipur administration and police in Baberi locality here in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
A senior officer said that on the basis of police report, the District Magistrate had issued an order to attach a commercial property registered in the name of Mukhtar’s brother-in-law Anwar Shahzad and Sarjil Raza in Baberi locality.
He said as per the order of the DM, commercial plot measuring 0.3134 hectare has been attached. “The market price of the plot is estimated to be around Rs 5.10 crore,” he added.
While Mukhtar’s property worth Rs 65 crore has been attached by the administration so far, illegal properties worth Rs 109 crore of his gang members have been demolished.
