Putin believes disagreements should be resolved diplomatically:Kremlin

Russian President Vladimir Putin is a strong supporter of the idea that all disagreements should be resolved through political and diplomatic means, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.

“As for the war over Iran, you know that president Putin is a strong supporter of the idea that all disagreements should be resolved through political and diplomatic means,” Peskov told reporters.

In a series of telephone conversations with the heads of Middle Eastern states, Putin spoke about the need to resolve disagreements through political and diplomatic means, the official said, adding that Putin continues to maintain contacts with the heads of Gulf and Arab countries.

“If our services are in demand in some way, we are, of course, ready to make our contribution to ensuring that the situation with the fighting [in the Middle East] returns to a peaceful course as soon as possible,” Peskov said.

Peskov called NATO a hostile alliance that considers Russia its enemy.

“As for the North Atlantic Alliance, it is an alliance hostile to us; it is an alliance that considers us its enemy and takes corresponding hostile actions. That is how we view this alliance,” Peskov told reporters.

Moscow had the opportunity to become familiar with statements by US President Donald Trump, including about NATO and the situation in Iran, the spokesman added.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin spokesman said that the unmanned systems troops created in Russia need personnel, and there is an open offer for those who are willing to serve.

“Indeed, new troops have been created. They require specific personnel for this type of military. There is an offer for those who have the necessary skills and are willing to serve in these new troops,” Peskov told reporters when asked about the recruitment of personnel for the unmanned systems troops.
