Rajasthan: 5 held for involvement in cross-border smuggling

Jaipur, June 1 (UNI) Five persons, including two youth from Punjab, were arrested for allegedly picking up packets of heroin dropped off by Pakistani drones in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar district, police said on Wednesday.

Police recovered six-and-a-half kg heroin worth Rs 33 crore from their possession.
Two smugglers from Punjab were caught carrying one kg heroin in their car. Cash worth Rs 2.5 lakh was also recovered from the vehicle.
The CID (Zone), along with police and BSF, carried out the operation to nab the accused.
