Two travelers have been killed and 21 others injured from a bus-truck collision in Afghanistan’s northern Baghlan province on Friday, a local official said.

The accident took place on the highway in Doshi district on Friday morning when a passenger bus collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction, said Safiullah Khan, head of the traffic management office of the province without providing more details.

This is the second road accident in Afghanistan since Sunday.
In the previous accident, which occurred in the northern Takhar province on Sunday evening, three people were killed and two others were injured.

Ramshackle roads, old vehicles, lack of safety measures during travel and reckless driving on congested highways, are the main reasons for road accidents in the mountainous country.

Nearly 400 people have reportedly been killed in road mishaps in the war-torn country over the past three months.
