Security forces arrested a suspected overground worker (OGW) in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Thursday.
Police said the suspect was apprehended during a joint operation by Kulgam Police, the Army’s 34 Rashtriya Rifles and 18 Battalion CRPF at Mohammadpora village. During a search, security personnel recovered two hand grenades and incriminating posters from his possession.
The arrested individual was identified as Aadil Hussain Lone, a resident of Mohammadpora, Kulgam.
Police said a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kulgam and further investigation is underway. More arrests and recoveries are expected, they added.
