were killed in a fierce encounter between security forces and Naxalites on Friday afternoon in the Abujhmad area on the border of Narayanpur and Dantewada in Chhattisgarh.
Security forces have also recovered the AK47, SLR, and many other modern weapons from the spot.
Narayanpur Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar said that a joint police party of Narayanpur and Dantewada police had gone on a search operation after receiving information about the presence of Naxalites. Meanwhile, they had an encounter with the Naxalites in which at least seven Naxalites were killed.
He said that the encounter started at 1 PM on Friday in the forests of Thulthuli in the Barsoor police station area. He said that intermittent firing is still going on at the spot. All the soldiers are safe in the encounter. The search operation against Naxalites is also going on.
