India captain Shubman Gill will be travelling to Guwahati with the team on Wednesday, for the second Test of the series, BCCI said.
The BCCI also confirmed that he is recovering well from the neck injury he sustained on Day 2 of the Kolkata Test against South Africa.
Gill sustained a neck injury on Day 2 of the Kolkata Test against South Africa and was taken to the hospital for further examination after the close of play.
Gill was kept under observation overnight before being discharged the following day. According to the board, the India skipper has been “responding well to the medical treatment provided” and is set to travel with the squad to Guwahati on 19th November, 2025, for the second Test of the series.
The BCCI added that Gill will continue to be monitored by the BCCI medical team, and a decision on his participation in the 2nd Test will be taken accordingly.
