Soldier injured, 2-3 terrorists trapped in Pulwama

ANANTNAG, APR 26 (UNI):- Security beefed up after a militant group throw chilly powder on CRPF personnel to snatch rifles in Reshi bazar Anantnag district on Tuesday.
Srinagar, April 27 (UNI) The anti-militancy operation in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district is underway as Police believe two to three militants, including a foreigner of Jaish-e-Mohammad are trapped in the area.
They said a gun battle erupted at Mitrigam area of Pulwama during a cordon and a search operation in the area, following an input about the presence of militants.
An Army Jawan was wounded in the initial gunfight, police said, adding that the operation was halted for evacuation of civilians.

Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said precautions were being taken to avoid collateral damage.

“2-3 #terrorists including #foreign terrorist of JeM terror outfit trapped inside cordon. Ops was halted for #evacuation of #civilians. 01 soldier injured. Precautions being taken to avoid collateral damage. Trapped #terrorists will be #neutralised at the earliest,” the IGP was quoted in a police tweet.
This is the 13th gun battle in Kashmir this month, which has left 20 militants dead. Four security men have also lost their lives in the line of duty.
