“The Subcontinent of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh have lost a great Urdu litterateur and linguist in the death of Gopi Chand Narang.

At the moment, Gopi Chand Narang was treated among few eminent people, who had contributed quite a lot to the development of Urdu language and literature.

Gopi Chand Narang had cultivated a sizable number of intellectuals in Jammu and Kashmir primarily because he thought that the J&K Govt. and the people were equally interested in the promotion of Urdu language and literature.

The Subcontinent of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh will remember Gopi Chand Narang for a long time for his contribution to Urdu language and literature.

I offer my deepest condolences to the bereaved family and his admirers, all over the sub-continent.”
