Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday announced in the Lok Sabha that all three ‘terrorists involved in the Pahalgam massacre have been eliminated in a joint operation by the Army, CRPF, and Jammu & Kashmir Police under Operation Mahadev’.
Identified as Suleman alias Faizal, Afghani, and Jibran — all A-category Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives — the terrorists were killed near Srinagar. Forensic tests, including ballistic analysis, confirmed that the weapons recovered matched those used in the April 22 attack at Baisaran valley, where 26 civilians were killed.
Calling the attack “barbaric,” Shah accused Pakistan of orchestrating cross-border terror, stating that local recruitment has nearly stopped and foreign terrorists are now being sent into Kashmir.
He also criticized the previous Congress government for inaction, saying, “They only sent dossiers, we acted.”
Home Minister concluded by expressing condolences to the victims’ families and asserted that India’s crackdown on terrorism will continue with full force.(KINS)
