Two tourists were killed and three others, including the driver, were injured after a tourist cab met with an accident on the Aru Valley road in Pahalgam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday, officials said.
They said a tourist cab skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge.
The deceased have been identified as Bawin Bhavsar and Naina, both residents of Gujarat.
The injured were identified as Awin Bhavsar, Ashok Naina of Gujarat, and driver Rayees Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Rangward Pahalgam. All the injured were shifted to GMC Anantnag for treatment.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and registered an FIR under number 41/2026 at Police Station Pahalgam. Further investigation has been taken up.
