At least two suspected militants were killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said here on Saturday.
They said the encounter broke out between security forces and militants at Halkan Gali, Kachwan, Anantnag when joint forces were carrying out a search operation in the forest area.
” The CASO turned into an encounter when hiding terrorists opened fire on the forces. In the encounter that followed two terrorists have been killed,” a security official said. The operation in the area is still underway
This is the second encounter in Kashmir on Saturday.
The first encounter that is underway broke out in Srinagar’s old city.
