Two youths charred to death as bike collides with SUV, catches fire

Two youths were charred to death and one was seriously injured when

a motorcycle caught fire after colliding with an SUV in Nanpara area of Bahraich district here in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, police sources said here.

Police sources said that Pankaj (26), Shivam (25) and Satyam, all residents of Bakshipura locality, were close friends.

“The incident took place when the three friends were going to Rupaidiah on a motorcycle,” they said.

Police sources said that near Hada Bashari village their motorcycle collided with the SUV head on and caught fire.

“Satyam and Shivam were charred to death in the incident, whereas Pankaj sustained serious burn injuries. Pankaj was taken to the community health center from where he was referred to the district hospital in a serious condition,” they said.

Station House Officer (SHO) Hemant Kumar said that the bike caught fire after colliding with the SUV in which two friends were charred to death.

He said that the passengers of the SUV, which was reduced to ashes, had a narrow escape.
