The Ghazipur district administration on Friday attached an immovable property worth Rs 12.50 crore of mafia-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari’s brother and Ghazipur MP Afzal Ansari in Lucknow.
Taking action under the Gangster Act the Ghazipur police attached a house constructed on plot number 14B of area 483.49 square meters in Butler Ganj Extension in Ram Mohan Roy Ward on Tilak Marg, Dalibagh, Lucknow. The police took the action on the orders of the District Magistrate of Ghazipur.
The value of this property of MP Afzal Ansari in Lucknow has been estimated at Rs 12.50 crore. The police said that Afzal Ansari had bought this property in the name of his wife Farhat Ansari with the money earned through illegal activities.
