UP scaling new heights under leadership of PM Modi: Yogi

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said that Narendra Modi is scaling new heights under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the state is improving in many areas and a new picture of this is in front of everyone.

Addressing the public gathering in Kaushambi, the CM said, “Today, the entire world sees India as an example of how governments should function. All Indians are getting the benefit of the development schemes without any discrimination. The nation is reaching new heights of prosperity. Efforts are being made to create the best security environment in the nation.”

CM Yogi along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah was participating in the inauguration of Kaushambi Mahotsav. During this, several development projects were launched and many players of ‘Sansad Khel Spardha’ were also felicitated.

He congratulated the residents of the district on the festival and noted that Kaushambi was one of the 16 ‘Mahajanapadas’ associated with the Buddhist tradition. “Even during the Ramayana era, Lord Shriram spent one night here while travelling to the forest. This area has a long history of being connected to mythological and historical traditions as well as the Shakti Peeth tradition. The abode of Maa Sheetla, located here, attracts every Indian,” he said.

The CM said that the youth of the state are getting an opportunity to move forward in the field of sports with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Stating that the double-engine government has decided that there will be a playground in every village and a mini stadium in every block, he said, “Along with this, we are also getting a stadium constructed at the district level, the work of which has started on a war footing. In order to realise the dream of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, every gram panchayat, municipal body, and district should celebrate its foundation day.”

Yogi said that the government is committed to taking the benefits of each development project to the people of Kaushambi. “Ganga Expressway is passing through this district. With its construction, it will take less than eight hours to travel from Meerut to Prayagraj. For the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh in 2025, preparations have already begun. For this, all the districts of Prayagraj division should get ready and join it.”

During the programme, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and CM Yogi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several projects related to Kaushambi and its surrounding districts. The Union Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of a total of 117 development projects worth more than Rs 612 crore during the festival.

Emerging players of the district were also felicitated on the stage of Kaushambi Mahotsav. Home Minister Shah and Chief Minister Yogi felicitated 10 boys and girls associated with games like Kho-Kho, volleyball, 100 meter race, and others. During this, trophies and citations were presented to the best-performing players during the Parliament Sports Competition.
