Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said voters have picked “performance” over “propaganda” even as the Opposition members walked out of the Rajya Sabha after attempting to disrupt the proceedings with slogans.

Replying to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address, PM Modi said, though reluctantly, the Opposition has now started accepting its defeat but their decision to walkout amounts to disrespecting the Upper House.

Modi said the NDA government’s 10-year performance is just an “appetiser” and the “main course” is yet to be served.

Highlighting that the Constitution is sacrosanct for the NDA, he said those flashing copies of the Constitution today. were the ones who opposed a proposal to observe a “Constitution Day”.

“The third opportunity given by voters to us is a blessing for us to take forward the missions of Viksit Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat,” he said, adding that the just-concluded elections will also shape the future of the nation.
