The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Tuesday countered US President Donald Trump’s threat of wiping out a ‘whole civilization’ in Iran, saying it will respond in kind by attacking the infrastructure of America and its partners.
IRGC warned US of crossing “Red Lines” , saying American leaders lack the ability to calculate the critical assets that is within range of attack by Iranians.
As Trump threatens to strike Iranian power plants and bridges in mere hours if Iran does not agree to open the Strait of Hormuz, IRGC that it will deprive “US and its allies of the region’s oil and gas for many years”
“We will do to the infrastructure of America and its partners what will deprive them and their allies of the region’s oil and gas for many years”, the statement reads.
“American leaders lack the ability to calculate the critical assets that would be within range of our fighters if they attacked our infrastructure”, it added. “Our response will extend beyond the region if the US military crosses our red lines”.
This comes after US president Donald Trump has issued yet another threat to Tehran of wiping out a “whole civilization” in Iran as his deadline to open the Strait of Hormuz looms.
His latest threat on social media shows his excessive desparation and frustration.
“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again”, he begins, in a post on his Truth Social platform.
“I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen”, he continued.
“WHO KNOWS We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!”.
Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance announced that Washington has largely met its military objectives in its war with the Islamic Republic.
Vance added that the US believes it is still possible to receive a response to ceasefire proposals from Iran by Trump’s deadline tonight.
The US president has issued an ultimatum, threatening to strike ranian power plants and bridges in mere hours if Iran does not agree to open the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump issued an ultimatum to Iran, with a deadline of 8 pm ET Tuesday (3:30 am Wednesday Tehran time) for Tehran to reopen the strategically critical Strait of Hormuz-or face heavy bombing and “hell.”
Trump has threatened to take out Iran “in one night” if it fails to make an “acceptable” deal before the deadline, including ensuring the free flow of energy through the Gulf.
At a White House news conference, he said he believed “reasonable” leaders in Iran were negotiating in “good faith,” but the outcome remained uncertain.
Trump said the US has a plan under which “every bridge and power plant in Iran could be destroyed by midnight Tuesday.”
He said that the Iranian people “might” ultimately benefit from freedom following the attacks.
We’ll strike American infra, deprive US, allies of oil and gas for years, warns IRGC
